A web application replacing a paper-based campus library workflow — the sort of project where the hard part is modelling the lending lifecycle correctly.
What it does
- Students search the catalogue by title, author, or ISBN, request a book, and track their own loans and due dates.
- Librarians own the catalogue, approve or reject requests, record returns, and watch a dashboard of pending requests, active loans, and overdue items.
- Two clear roles (student, librarian) with different surfaces on the same data.
How it is built
Frontend and backend as separate services with a Postgres database, wired together with Docker Compose for a one-command local environment.
