The official web portal for Perhimpunan Pelajar Indonesia Tiongkok (PPIT) Cabang Nanjing — the association that supports Indonesian students arriving in Nanjing.
What it does
- Organisation structure, recruitment guidebook, and announcements in one place.
- An AI guidebook chatbot that answers newcomer questions (housing, mosques, SIM cards, banking) from the association’s own guidebook corpus instead of generic model knowledge.
- Session-backed question limits, model fallback chain, and a retrieval layer over the guidebook markdown.
How it is built
Next.js App Router with Server Actions (no chat HTTP route), TypeScript, Tailwind CSS v4, Drizzle ORM over Neon Postgres, deployed on Vercel. The answer pipeline is a retrieval + generation stack: guidebook chunking and search, then generation through a model fallback chain, behind an authentication layer.
